I use a thin layer and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes then rinse. I can honestly say my face feels so soft and it looks really clean and not dry at all. I have been using the charcoal clay mask for some weeks now (nightly on problem areas), and it is one of the best masks I have used. Nothing has been as consistent and simple as this product. It reduces blemishes big and small after one application and eliminates them within a day or two! I don't ever do reveiws on products but I had to do one for this product. I just got this product maybe 2 days ago in the mail. I used it for the first time tonight, and I am IN LOVE! It did tingle just a little as I was putting it on (I used a facial brush), but after about 3 minutes my skin felt normal. I waited about 20 minutes before rinsing it off in warm water. It's also very easy to come off. It left my skin with a cooling sensation. I had one raised red pimple on my cheek, and when I rinsed the mask of I noticed that the pimple was no longer raised, it was just still red. This product is AMAZING!!! I have very sensitive skin btw (combination skin too)

I ordered the charcoal mask to use on my boyfriend to help remove blackheads. However, being a product junkie, I tried it on myself immediately. For reference, I have fairly oily skin and adult hormonal acne. My skin is also finicky, and many products end up breaking me out. The mask itself is thick and very pigmented. I left it on for about 15 minutes. As expected of any clay mask, my skin did feel tight once it was dry, but it never cracked or flaked. It was also fairly easy to wash off, for a nearly black charcoal mask. I always use a washcloth when rinsing off masks or face wash, so it may take longer if you are only using your hands. The first thing I noticed after washing the product off my face was how soft my skin felt. Often, clay masks can make skin feel a bit dry, but this was not the case!

The charcoal clay mask is wonderful. I put mine on before I hop in the shower and rinse it off when I'm done with everything else. It makes my skin feel so smooth and I love the smell. However because it is detoxifying and I don't use on a really regular basis, sometimes I break out afterward as it pulls some of the junk more to the surface but not out.

I was looking for something to replace my Aztec Healing Clay mask as it was a little too drying for my skin. This is a great mask. You can actually see it pulling gunk out of your pores as it dries. I'm one of those people who like gross things like that though! My skin feels so soft and smooth after I use it and a little goes a long way. I've found the best way to apply it is with a silicone brush to get a smooth, even coat. It does tingle a bit as it dries, but it's not painful or uncomfortable. And I also love that, unlike the Aztec mask, I can wash my face and let the mask to down the sink without clogging it! Will definitely buy it again.

I have hormonal and cystic acne and this works WONDERS. If I have an outbreak, I do the charcoal mask over my entire face. I then spot treat the next days until the outbreak starts diminishing. I do keep the mask on longer than 15 minutes, and it doesn’t irritate my face. I have noticed huge differences the next day after using the mask. It noticeably shrinks the pimple, and begins to reduce redness. Even my boyfriend has commented on the changes over the course of several days (and this is when I had a HORRIBLE outbreak). I use this product in addition to my daily skin care routine (and acne creams)

Really like this stuff. It may be the first mask I've used where I can immediately see a subtle difference between the before and after. However, you need to use it multiple times a week in order to really make a difference. I wish it came with some sort of brush or applicator to help apply. It's easy to wash off your hands but never fun to get gray gook all over.

My favorite mask. Very thick and creamy to spread on, I use wet fingers and a damp face cloth to get it on smooth. It takes a fair amount of water to wash off when it dries but it leaves my skin so smooth and soft.

I have very sensitive and acne-prone skin and other clay masks have left my skin dry and peeling, but this one did not! I would recommend using this mask on a day/the day before you have no plans, as the point of this mask is that it makes all of your acne come to the surface (I don't know if this is an obvious fact but I did not get that memo when I first used it). Then stick some acne patches on the whiteheads overnight and they're gone the next day!

I have used this mask three times the first week I got it and i HIGHLY recommend it. After the third time, my skin is officially back to being smooth as a baby's bottom, clear and NO blackheads. I love this mask! At first, I was skeptical of its quality and effects on my skin, since I had a mask like this before and it didn't do much. But this one is absolutely great. I have mild rosacea and I am able to use this Mask once a week. I've noticed the difference in my skin since I've started using this. It does give me a nice deep clean and It leaves my face feeling soft. As I'm getting older, my skin tends to get dry, so on a whim I started using this product on the back of my hands (also once a week) and it has worked great. When I decided to give this one product a final try, I was shocked by the results I got. It is very easy to apply and wash away. It does not come with a brush so I use a foundation brush. It spreads very easily and evenly. I used it everyday in the beginning to get rid of all the existing acne on my face and calm my skin down and then started using twice a week. It totally changed my life. I do not get gross pimples or acne anymore. It has cleared out most of the scars and pigmentation on my face. If I stop using it, everything comes back but as long as I am regularly using it, my skin behaves. And why not use it regularly? It is so easy to use. No painful peeling of the mask, no extensive skin prep is required before applying it. Just apply it on clean skin. Using a face wash before applying the mask is more than enough. I bought mine in March and even after such extensive use, I have finished only a little less than half of the container. If you are dealing with adult acne like me, I would highly recommend giving this product a try!

On days I use the mask I cleanse then apply mask for 10 minutes after I wash it off I use an oil free moisturizer. My skin is so clear, healthy looking, glowing, and feels amazing. I have never liked face masks because the peel off kind are painful to me, other mud masks were difficult to wash off, and those paper masks just never sit right. Also I've never noticed a difference in my skin after using a mask. I wanted to try this as my acne is cystic most times and is extremely painful. I love this and would highly recommend it to anyone with problem blackheads that have been proving stubborn. I hope that it will completely clear my skin with a few more uses. Even though it didn't immediately clear my skin completely, it did more in a few minutes than anything in years.

The mask has a smooth texture and a pleasant light scent. I was pleasantly surprised how little this mask "pulls" as it dries making it very comfortable to use. I've tried several masks in the past and this is the best one yet! There is a very light fragrance to the mask. The mixture and consistency is very smooth. Application is easy. I recommend those with dry skin to apply moisturizer after using the mask. I left it on for 15 minutes and it didn't dry out like some masks do. Will buy again.

I have quite a few products and was looking for a charcoal mask, as my pores and skin need some help. Putting on the mask is easy and it rinses off easily. I let it sit for longer than the 10 minute window, and it still washed off fine. My skin looked glowy and my pores were cleaned and visibly smaller. Definitely a keeper!

First time I bought a a mask that wasn't a powder that I didn't have to mix myself each time I want to use. I like this. It came well packaged, undamaged (always a plus), no over whelming fragrances, was not over drying, although I suspect it overused it could be... easy to use. Easy to wash off. Not messy at all. It does not tighten the skin like a clay mask does, but did feel like it cleansed and gave my skin a lovely glow afterward. Definitely going to keep as part of my skin care rotation.

I usually am not one to write reviews but this mask is so amazing that I had to. Even after seeing all these other 5 star reviews, I was skill skeptical that this product would work for my skin, but it did. I applied the mask before bed, left it on for 10 mins and washed off like I was supposed to. When I woke up in the morning, my skin was clearer and my pores were actually smaller. There really is a visible difference even after one use! Would highly recommend.

I just received this product yesterday evening and used it immediately after my normal skin care routine. After about 15 minutes, I washed the mask off following the directions to use warm water and gently massaging in a circular direction. This morning, my skin is not only smooth, but my pores feel clean and appear smaller! It also slowed down oil build up. Excited to see results after 30 days. I highly recommend this product.

Yes yes yes! It smells so good. It feels good. It makes my skin look good. Everything about this is yes. I have sensitive skin and it doesn't make me break out or anything, which is always a worry with scented products bc they almost all give me hives, but this didn't. I really do love this.
